Rockhaven RFQ

The City of Glendale issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for development of the Rockhaven site at 2713 Honolulu Avenue. The City of Glendale, which owns the site, hosted two open house events for potential developers. These events were held at the Rockhaven Site in late May and early June with over 40 attendees.

The city is looking to select a qualified developer that can meet the following goals:
  • Introduce a suitable type of limited, but focused new development,
  • Preserve the potentially historic structures, and
  • Open up the site and open space (or portions of it) to the community.

Over 135 developers were sent the RFQ via email and it has been posted to a number of different websites.  Responses to the RFQ are due no later than July 2nd at 5 pm.

Rockhaven was opened as a mental institution the 1920s. It was established as a place of rehabilitation for women. Click here for more information about Rockhaven and its history.
